Why is this election important?
At least three BIG things will happen within the term of the person we elect on May 15th, and they are things I bet you care about:
- We will address the health, safety and space needs of Nashoba Regional High School. First, we need a full-scale needs assessment, but then we will make decisions about repair, renovation, rebuild
- Our Superintendent's contract is up in 2019. The School Committee decides whether to renew. If not renewed, the School Committee will hire a new Superintendent
- The current School Committee approved an Assistant Superintendent position to literally overhaul curriculum with a special emphasis on digital learning integration. The School Committee will greatly influence the hiring process, and make sure the person hired has priorities that align with (hopefully) yours
These are just three issues that will majorly impact the future direction of our schools, with far-reaching implications, and something everyone should care about. Remember to vote! Tuesday May 15th.
